Loring School and Kids Cook Classroom
have created an exciting program called
Food Adventure!

We at Loring want to ensure the long-term sustainability of our gardening and cooking program by building on what is already in place. We believe that a strong partnership with parents, students and teachers working in the garden, kitchen and classroom will help build upon an already solid foundation.

We are looking for eager volunteers who would like to be trained in the Kids Cook Classroom lessons originated by Robin and Starla Krause. Those volunteers would help lead a garden and cooking program here at Loring. This program is called Food Adventure.

You will be given lessons, supplies and materials to teach lessons to classrooms of eager students. Food Adventure volunteers will bring the lesson and the
classroom teacher will be the management/scheduling lead. Together, teacher and volunteers will co-teach the garden activity. Volunteers are encouraged to develop lessons that they would enjoy teaching to students and sharing with other leaders.

Help us build a strong foundation so that this program may continue. If you are interested in volunteering, please call or email Heidi Begin at 612.668.2060 or Heidi.Begin@mpls.k12.mn.us.
