Welcome to 4th grade! My name is Jolene Tomihiro and I am a 4th grade teacher at Loring Elementary. I have been teaching for 25 years in the Minneapolis School District. I have been a 5th grade teacher, math specialist and advanced differentiation specialist. I attended the College of St. Benedict and the College of Charleston where I received my Bachelor of Science Degree in Elementary Education. I received my Masters Degree in Education from St. Mary's University. I have two children. My daughter Ally is a freshman in college at the Universtiy of LaCrosse and my son Garrett is a sophmore in high school. In my free time, I enjoy traveling, watching sports, making cards, and watching movies.
I believe it is very important to have a partnership with my students' parents. Working together, we can help your child achieve. I will really work to individualize instruction for your child so they can reach their full potential. I welcome your thoughts and comments. Please feel free to call me or e-mail me at Loring.
