Welcome to Room 207!
Cheers to a fabulous year!

I am so excited for the opportunity to teach your children. This is my 28th year with Minneapolis Public Schools! I have been in a variety of roles in education; from teaching 2nd grade to graduate school school, as well as 10 years of teacher coaching positions and adult professional development.  I have a passion for literacy, and currently serve as the President of the Minnesota Reading Association. I love my chosen path in education, and would not trade it for anything.

My other life, outside of education, is quite active.  I love to travel, do yoga and meditation (certified instructor), bike, hike, work out, and am up for most adventures.

My children; Brian, Emily, and Ben.
I have 3 kids, ages 20 (Emily), 21 (Brian), and 22 (Ben). Two are in college, and one is working and is on his own (in Texas). The youngest plays soccer for Bemidji, so I have become a soccer fan.

I am looking forward to working with you this year as we help your child experience all the joys of learning.  I want to be sure to invite you to contact me at any time during the school year if you have questions or concerns.  Let's work together to make your childs fifth grade experience a success.

With Gratitude,

Alice Kos
