Youth programming, offered through Minneapolis Community Education, ensures students are engaged and energized through fun activities that support learning, creativity, and school success. Tutoring, enrichment, and recreational opportunities allow students to pursue skills and interests. In the process, they develop meaningful relationships with their peers and adults. Classes are low cost or free. Most classes run after school, although before school classes are offered at a few late-start schools.

Service-learning and leadership training teaches students how to become tomorrow’s leaders. We support the development of the whole child by helping youth grow and become productive, well-educated citizens.

The Loring After School Program will be back and better than ever this fall. Community Education and the Area Learning Center (ALC) will be working together to provide strong academic and enrichment opportunities for the students of Loring. As the school year approaches be sure to check back for updates.
