Hello and welcome! My name is Elizabeth Saemann, and I am the preK teacher for the High 5 program at Loring School. I am so excited to have your student in my class this year!

This is my seventh year teaching at Loring, and I love it here. As soon as I walked in this building, I knew it was a special place. My primary goal for your High Five experience is to help you and your child feel welcome here as well.

I received my teaching license and degree in early childhood education from the University of Wisconsin-Madison School of Education in 2014. It is because of my background there and my teaching experience at Loring that I believe in building strong relationships with children and their families. I also believe that preK is a time for play-based and active learning. We focus on developing

age-appropriate social and emotional skills as well as important early academic skills to prepare students for success in kindergarten and beyond.

This year is beginning in a unique way with Distance Learning. I am committed to helping your student and your family through this transition. It is new for all of us, and we will get through it together!

Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and puppy, cooking, reading, gardening, and finding good coffee all around the Twin Cities.

You are your child's first teacher and best advocate, so I want to hear from you! Please contact me at anytime via phone (School: 612-668-2060, Cell: 507-312-9540) or email (elizabeth.saemann@mpls.k12.mn.us). I look forward to working with you.
