About Me

My name is Brian Moynihan, and I spent the 2017-2018 school year working as an Associate Educator with grades K-4. I have been working with Minneapolis Public Schools since 2014 when I was a baseball coach at Minneapolis South High School. In 2016, I began my career as an Associate Educator.

I was born in New York City and grew up in the suburban area of Larchmont, New York. I arrived in Minneapolis as a student at Augsburg College (now Augsburg University). I recieved my B.A. in Political Science from Augsburg and was also a member of the school's baseball team. Baseball is a passion of mine and I continue to play baseball during the spring, summer and fall. I also love to read, play chess, and solve puzzles.

I had lots of highlights from my 1st year at Loring. I lead a book club with Ms. Heidi's 3rd graders. Our book club was able to read, discuss, and analyze some classic titles such Shiloh, On My Honor, and Sarah, Plain & Tall. Other highlights included helping estabilish our 1st Bike Night, which was a huge success and playing in the students vs. staff basketball game.

I am looking forward to my 2nd year at Loring and getting to know more of our wonderful students.
