My name is Renee Benecke and I am an Associate Educator (AE) in the High Five Program at Loring School. I have worked with students for over twenty years. Ms. Elizabeth and I have worked together for four years and love what we do!  I believe all children learn through exploration and play. The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the students grow, learn and develop skills as they prepare for Kindergarten!

As a life long resident of North Minneapolis, I attended William Penn School (K-6) and Patrick Henry High (7-12). I received my BA in Human Services at the University of Minnesota - Morris.

I live in the Victory neighborhood with my husband Jeff. We met at Henry High.  Jeff is a retired U.S. Postmaster and now drives a school bus in Robbinsdale. We have two daughters who attended the University of Wisconsin-River Falls. They teach Physical Education/Health and coach in St. Paul and Bloomington. We all work with students in the metro area!

I love to read, exercise, travel and spend time with my family, friends and new granddaughter at our cabin in Northern Minnesota. I look forward to another year of sharing with students the joy of learning!
