Hi! My name is Kaitlynn Cline. This will be my second year teaching Kindergarten at Loring. I am very excited to be your child’s teacher and would like to welcome you to our virtual room 105. We are going to have a fun filled year, with lots of rich learning opportunities. Kindergarten is a time to explore and to ask lots of questions. My hope is to instill a love of learning in each student and to inspire all of my students to become curious learners.

Previously, I have taught 2nd grade at Nellie Stone Johnson. I have also served as a substitute teacher in Saint Paul Public Schools as well as in special education districts. Prior to that, I taught literacy interventions with grades 1-4 at Cityview Community School. I also completed a Master of Arts in Teaching at Hamline, focusing on social emotional learning in connection to literacy. I believe integrated lessons foster the most powerful learning experiences, especially for young learners. I also believe that children learn through hands on experiences and through exploration.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and my dog Richie. He is a 7 year old blue heeler/border collie mix. He keeps me busy going on walks and playing frisbee. I also enjoy hiking, yoga, zumba, cooking, and art.

I am very excited for the 2020-2021 school year. Please let me know how I can help and be of service to you throughout the school year. The best way to contact me via email at kaitlynn.cline@mpls.k12.mn.us
