Hi! My name is Kaitlynn Cline. This will be my first year teaching Kindergarten at Loring. I am very excited to be your child’s teacher and would like to welcome you to room 105. We are going to have a fun filled year, with lots of rich learning opportunities. Kindergarten is a time to explore and to ask lots of questions. My hope is to instill a love of learning in each student and to inspire all of my students to become curious learners.

Previously, I have taught 2nd grade at Nellie Stone Johnson. I have also served as a substitute teacher in Saint Paul Public Schools as well as in special education districts. Prior to that, I taught literacy interventions with grades 1-4 at Cityview Community School. I am also finishing a Master of Arts in Teaching at Hamline, focusing on social emotional learning in connection to literacy. I believe integrated lessons foster the most powerful learning experiences, especially for young learners. I also believe that children learn through hands on experiences and through exploration.

In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my friends and family, and my dog Richie. He is a 6 year old blue heeler/border collie mix. He keeps me busy going on walks and playing frisbee. I also enjoy hiking, yoga, zumba, cooking, and art.

I am very excited for the 2019-2020 school year. Please let me know how I can help and be of service to you throughout the school year. The best way to contact me is via email at kaitlynn.cline@mpls.k12.mn.us. If you need to reach me during the school day, the best way to do this is to contact the office and they will get the message to me or forward your call to me if needed. For any changes in end of day transportation for your child, you must contact the office before 12:00 p.m.
